WHAT IS A PODCAST?
An audio podcast is something like a radio show on the Internet that you can listen to on your computer, and you can also download it to a portable player, like an iPod, to hear anytime you like. It's also possible to subscribe to podcasts through special podcast readers, much as you would a magazine. Each new episode in a series of podcast programs will then be automatically "delivered" to your computer's reader program when it is available.

You do not need to have an iPod or portable device to enjoy a podcast. The audio podcast programs of AT HOME IN CHINA can be listened to directly on your computer by clicking on the player arrow on our Website. Depending on the speed of your Internet connection and how many people are listening, it might take a minute or so for your computer to receive and play a program directly. Your computer should have a sound card and should be able to play MP3 files.

HOW CAN I SAVE A SHOW ON MY COMPUTER TO HEAR LATER?
To download a program to your computer and save it to listen to whenever you like, you can right click on the DOWNLOAD button (Control / click on a Mac). Select SAVE TARGET AS... and choose a location from the dialogue box where you would like to save the podcast on your computer. You can then also move the audio file from your computer to your portable music player as you normally would.
